The
Irish Society for Immediate
Care was formally launched
in 1998 at a conference
entitled "Pre Hospial
Cardiac Care in a Rural
Environment". Over
200 delegates attended the
conference from a wide variety
of disciplines, including
medical, nursing and the
ambulance service.This provided
a good launch for the Society
and confirmed a strong need
for establishing a national
organisation for the devlopment
of pre-hospital emergency
care
